Behind The Tracks: ENDGAME - Habitual Burnout (Single) (2025)

“Habitual Burnout” came from a moment where we stopped pretending that exhaustion is just a phase you push through. The song is about realizing that burnout isn’t only something that happens to you, it’s something you can slowly start living inside, even identifying with.

Lyrically, it captures that constant mental noise: the phone ringing, the pressure to respond, the voices in your head that never shut up. There’s anxiety, paranoia, self-medication, skipped therapy sessions, not because you don’t want to heal, but because chaos starts to feel familiar. Almost comfortable. That’s where the title comes from: burnout turning into a habit, a default state you return to because it’s the only thing you know.

We wanted to be honest about the contradiction of pain feeling addictive. Lines like “even if it hurts, I think I fucking like that” aren’t glorifying suffering, they’re admitting how easy it is to romanticize it when you’ve been overwhelmed for too long. When you’ve crossed “a thousand bridges” and nothing really fixes what’s inside, you stop looking for peace and start settling into survival mode.
