Interviews: Ashen Sun

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Dark Rock/Gothic Rock artist, Ashen Sun, from Sweden. Check the interview and follow the artist on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Was it planned, or did it just happen organically?

It came to me from the inside, and it also reflects the dark music that I create. 

2. Why did you choose to play this genre?

Because I like it a lot and it also reflects the person I am.

3. Did you know each other before forming the band?

Ashen Sun is basically me at the moment.

4. What is each band member's favorite band?

My favorites are many. To say some Fields of Nephilim, Pink Floyd, Devil´s Blood, and many black metal bands like Watain, Satyricon, and Bathory.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Basically, life and death.

6. Where was your last gig?

So far, we haven´t played live.

7. Where would you like to perform in the future?

Where people want to see us.

8. Which artist or band would you like to collaborate with?

I would choose free. I would like to collaborate with Jonathan Hulten, Krister Linder, and Erik Danielsson from Watain.

9. Is there anyone you wouldn’t want to collaborate with?

I don´t close any doors.

10. Have any of you ever experienced stage fright? Do you have any tips for beginners on overcoming it?

No, not so far. Like the music you play, and you will be fine.

11. Which bands have influenced you the most?

Maybe Black Sabbath.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

My autograph, why should anyone want my signature?

13. What do you think of your fans?

I make music for myself, and if anyone else likes it, I am grateful.

14. What do you think of our site?

To be honest, I haven´t checked it out before, but now that I have, I like it. Keep on working hard.

15. Is there anything else you’d like to add?
