Interviews: FaceTwo

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band, FaceTwo, from Germany. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Was it planned, or did it just happen organically?

It did happen organically, since this started as my solo project, leading to the name FaceTwo (or my second face), to what I did before, and when people joined the project, we decided that the name stays!

2. Why did you choose to play this genre?

We didn’t really choose this Genre, I think it chose us! It’s pretty much the perfect mix of what we all listen to and what we like best.

3. Did you know each other before forming the band?

Maciej (Bass) and I (Leon - Vocals) already knew each other from another band I played in before, where he helped out once, and funnily enough, that’s actually what brought us together for this project. However, the other guys we didn’t know joined in when we started looking for bandmates.

4. What is each band member's favorite band?

Leon (Vocals): Gotthard

Maciej (Bass): Stone Sour

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Usually, life itself, whether I experienced something or if somebody else is going through something, if it hits us, then we start writing about it.

6. Where was your last gig?

We recently played in our hometown at a local Bar/Club called Maria's Ballroom. In case you missed that, we’re already confirmed shows for 2026! 

7. Where would you like to perform in the future?

The ultimate goal is one of the big Rock Festivals in our area like Wacken, Rock am Ring etc., that would be awesome.

8. Which artist or band would you like to collaborate with?

We’re open to a lot. If there’s a great idea on a song, then we’re up for it! 

10. Have any of you ever experienced stage fright? Do you have any tips for beginners on overcoming it?

Of course, I would even say it’s normal to experience it at some point. I personally overcame it by doing pub gigs and open mic shows in order to learn, and try out what it feels like! 

11. Which bands have influenced you the most?

There have been many, of course, but for me personally (Leon - Vocals), the main ones have been Guns & Roses, AC/DC, Nickelback, and Stone Sour

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

There have been a few interesting ones, but the weirdest thing would probably be a strand of my hair, which, as you can probably imagine, I was a bit reluctant to give out! :)

13. What do you think of your fans?

We absolutely love them, it’s the best feeling in the world to have people appreciate the art that we created, and if it moves them, brightens their day, or carries them through dark times - it makes it all worth it!

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s awesome! Especially that you cover artists from all over the globe and give them a chance to show their music and what moves them - please keep doing what you’re doing!

15. Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I just want to say thanks for having me - I really appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing you with more music and shows in 2026 :)
