Interviews: Horizon Theory

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Alternative Metal band, Horizon Theory, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or come out just like that?

One of us had heard the idea of Horizon Theory before, and after we looked up what it meant, we thought it would be a great name for the band! There are a couple of different definitions that really make you think.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I think over the years we all kind of just grew towards this genre of music because we’re all rock ‘n’ roll and metal fans. There’s a ton of different styles that we all listen to, but Rock is what really grabs our attention and always has! It’s in the blood.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Chris and Luis actually knew each other from a previous project they were both in, but I (Josh) hadn’t met them until 2022. That was when we started writing.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

This is so hard for all of us, haha, Chris says, BFMV. I would have to say all time is Tesla/Ozzy. Luis’s favorite artist is Chappell Roan, and his favorite song ever is Pink Pony Club!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Man, just life, really. Experiences, love, loss, stuff like that. The conversations you have with people as they relate to your music really keep us going.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was in Memphis while on tour with our brothers in Hed PE. We had a blast on that run!

7. Where would you like to act?

Red Rocks 100%

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Alter Bridge or Creed would be amazing.

9. Whom not?

No comment hahaha

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright?

Maybe a little back in the day, but not so much anymore. We’re more excited to hit the stage and do our thing! Any tips for beginners on how to beat that? Confidence. Be real!! Do it like no one is watching.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Too many to answer completely, but definitely Bullet For My Valentine, Ozzy, Alter Bridge, Tesla, Rammstein, In Flames, Killswitch.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We signed a guy's taco once at The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan. He still has it in his freezer to this day.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are pretty hardcore, and we love that. They have been like family to u,s, and we can’t thank them enough for everything they do!!

14. What do you think of our site?

The website is amazing, actually! Socials look great too! We see some bands in there that we are really fans of, so this is cool to be a part of!! Thank you!

15. Something to add?

We’d like to say thanks for everything you guys do and for having us on! We have a new album coming out in March 2026 called Mission Control. Produced by Morgan Rose from Sevendust. We’re excited to be working with him on this and can’t wait for you to hear it! In the meantime, check out our latest single off that album called Transcendence!!
