Interviews: S.I.V

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Melodic Death Metal band, S.I.V, from Sweden. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Was it planned, or did it just happen organically?

The name means a lot to us and many out there. It was planned and developed over a long time, alongside friends, band members, and family

2. Why did you choose to play this genre?

Since we were kids, we have all wanted to be in metal bands and play genres outside of death metal. The reason we picked it up was that we had had it a long time ago.

3. Did you know each other before forming the band?

Lee and Roger go way back since childhood, on different paths, but most of the time close, through high school, and shared friends

4. What is each band member's favorite band?

Lee ́s favourite artist is Elton John, a marvelous gentleman. Heavy for its time,  Andreas ́s favourite group is one of the big ones in Sweden, Soilwork. The whole package Roger ́s favourite band is Dream Theater, because they can blend so many genres without it sounding off. Gabriel ́s most liked band

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It's a combined effort; we get a feeling or get a taste for what we want to do, either alone or as a group. and then it comes alive in a rehearsal setting.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our first and only gig so far was Oden in Karlskrona (Sweden). We have just started out, and we took the first step in the right direction. And forward is the only way to go

7. Where would you like to perform in the future?

We can perform anywhere, as long as there is a good atmosphere and nice people. suited up in their most proper attire

8. Which artist or band would you like to collaborate with?

Seen from a touring point we would love to go with, In Flames, Soilwork, Opeth, Dark Tranquility, and The Black Dahlia Murder. The important point is that we somewhat have the same vision musically, to achieve the same feel

9. Is there anyone you wouldn’t want to collaborate with?

If the mood is right, it is. A bad view of the world could ruin things, so keep it straight and be a good person, and reach out. Negativity is off the map. Also, Sabrina Carpenter, Rihanna, and Mariah Carey.

10. Have any of you ever experienced stage fright? Do you have any tips for beginners on overcoming it?

Stage fright is very common; I myself have been on stages for as long as I can remember, starting out at 14 years old. It happened for a long time, Sweaty hands, Headache, and pain in my body. push past that and have fun. You will make mistakes, but the best thing is that in that split second, no one but the posers will notice it. The hours leading up to our first show, nerves still got us. But we went up, did our thing, and the people attending had a really good time. And so did we

11. Which bands have influenced you the most?

Those who don't lock you in a genre or force a sound. If we want to make a power Disney funk ballad, we will do it, not saying we will or not. But influences are there, I think the listener's game is to find them. I'll give you one of the answers. At The Gates

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

In recent projects, a guy who was attending. painted a picture of us during a gig. Very thankful for that, he got all my right angles

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are the ones who make this journey possible, even if you are just one. Without them, we couldn't get to share the feelings we feel while performing. We wouldn't get the chance to meet the person at that point or time in their lives. share our stories and listen to theirs.

14. What do you think of our site?

On first glance, it makes you feel welcomed. The artworks popping the interviews are personal, and the feeling of togetherness is at point. It's easy to understand how to navigate on, and it has a very good flow to it!

15. Is there anything else you’d like to add?

We would like to thank everyone who has joined us on this journey so far, and those who stick around for what the future holds. We love you all. Welcome To The Gentlemen's Death Metal Club
