Behind The Artworks: Tarlung - Axis Mundi (2026)

Once again, we hired the great Alex Eckman-Lawn to do our album artwork. Alex is the man who gave a face to our full-length albums since 2017. He is great to work with and has a very distinctive collage style – not your standard metal artwork, and a bit more visually elegant, in our humble opinion.

 

But from a conceptual standpoint, we went into a pretty ‘metal’ direction: The planet breaking apart, revealing mechanical contraptions and a grinning skull … the breaking axis of the world, the great chaos of our times.

 

So, it turned out to be pretty “Warhammer 40k-ish” – which we liked a lot!
