Interviews About Albums: AGAINST I - Anti Life (2026)
In this new interview, we sat down with the Swedish Blackened Death Metal band AGAINST I to ask questions about their album "Anti Life".
1. What can you say about "Anti Life"?
Do you like Against I? And did you enjoy ”Songs for the Dying”? Then you can expect more of that, but a bit darker!
2. What is the meaning of the album name?
The meaning is just as it says,” Anti Life”; this album is all about that. The world is at war, people are getting killed, and countries are getting destroyed by madmen.
There is no title better to describe what this album is about.
3. Which one is the composer of the "Anti Life"?
There is not one composer; there are 3 of us, and everyone is involved in the process of making the album. Everyone has their part to play in the creation.
4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?
My favorite song is ”Empire of Bones”, because of the atmosphere and the combination of fast and melodic.
5. Is there a special message in "Anti Life"? If there is what it is?
As stated above, it's about the state of the world. There is no message; it's more like a story about the world at this very moment.
6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?
I can share a bit from ”Empire of Bones.”
”We were bred to destroy
Create chaos in all we hold
And the poison in our veins
Keep seeping into the soil
In this empire of bones
We are building our thrones
In this empire of dust
Littered with endless corpses”
7. Which inspirations have been important for "Anti Life"? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?
Inspiration has been the leader of the world and the way people treat each other. Ignorance, war, death, and suffering.
8. Something to add?
We hope you enjoy the album
