Track By Tracks: The Chuck Norris Experiment - Hot Stuff 3 (2026)

1. Stairway to the stars:

Music: Originally a Blue Öyster Cult song, this has been given the royal Chuck treatment with a lot of drive and energy. Also, it has been re-arranged quite a bit, where the intro riff originally played a quite small part in the BOC version.

Lyrics: The song mocks the arrogance and detachment often associated with famous personalities.

2. Hammersmith palais:

Music: Originally by Michael Monroe's band Demolition 23, this gem is probably the most sing-along-friendly on the record. Lots and lots of melodies, both from the guitars and also from the vocals.

Lyrics: The Song is about how things were better before gentrification and when originality and personality were encouraged, rather than now, frowned upon.

3. Walking on my grave

Music: A song by Dead Moon that has been polished a bit. The great melodic lead riff has, of course, been kept, but some fat has been trimmed, and the sound is, of course, that of the Chuck Norris Experiment.

Lyrics: The song is a gritty, disillusioned commentary on societal decay, lost youth, political futility, and personal struggle, capturing the darkness of Dead Moon's hometown, Portland, Oregon, with themes of overdose, police brutality, and feeling replaced or forgotten

4. When the dust settles:

Music: A cool lead melody brings you right in to kind of the essence of what the Chuck Norris Experiment is. Pounding drums and heavy guitar riffing create this steamroller of a track.

Lyrics: The song is about emerging on the other side of a hard time.

5. The End of the great credibility race:

Music: The New Bomb Turks originally made this song, and in our version, their guitar lead gets a very central role musically. Some re-arrangements have been made, and we added that fierce Chuck vibe to it!

Lyrics: The song is about the disillusionment with the music industry, realizing "real" vs. "alternative" labels become meaningless after major label mergers dropped many bands, questioning art's role when it can't stop world problems, and sticking to honest, human survival within oppressive systems. The title reflects a shift from chasing "credibility" to focusing on music's purpose beyond commercialism or simplistic punk ideals.

6. Tryin:

Music: An Eagles cover that has been made heavier with heavier drums and more distortion. The iconic melodies are of course still there, and especially the main riff stands out with rock drive and great vibe.

Lyrics: The song is about perseverance, the long road of life, and finding your way in this world.

7. When shadows fall on your grave:

Music: This is our take on horror punk with a strong dose of the Misfits. High tempo with an ominous horror movie melody in the chorus. A very quick and to-the-point song!

Lyrics: Imagine being inside a horror movie and being chased by a mass murderer who ends up kidnapping you and eventually killing you. That's what the song is about.

8. Habit to support:

Music: A quite straightforward rock track with a lot of punch in the main riff. The drums are driving this, at parts, quite fa urious song with hard hitting and lots of dynamics.

Lyrics: The lyrics are about the frustration of mankind having all the resources and knowledge to develop and create good. But still, we keep spending all our efforts in finding new ways to kill each other. Such a waste.

9. Problems:

Music: Here we have taken a classic punk song by the Sex Pistols and made it rock’n’roll with melodies and solos, and whatnot. Still, the punk attitude and nerv has been kept intact.

Lyrics: The song is about the frustration and alienation of youth in Britain, rejecting societal norms, conformity, and the establishment's hypocrisy, while challenging listeners to question their own fixed beliefs and embrace openness, essentially a call to arms for self-rule and independence against a dull, stagnant world.

10. All your bridges are burning:

Music: A high-tempo rock kicker with loads of attitude and a killer solo in the middle.

Lyrics: The song is about looking at someone who just keeps messing up, provoking, and destroying their relations with everyone.

9. Electrify me:

Music: An Electric Frankenstein covers that has been added some glitter with more melodies and rhythm. The garage rock vibe kind of lingers in the background still.

Lyrics: The song is about being “electrified” during a live show, basically just being blown away by a band's performance.

12. Let the wheels roll:

Music: A Chuck song with all the classic ingredients, a verse full of hooks, a sing-along chorus, and loads of energy and drive.

Lyrics: The song is about being a band for 20 years and still “letting the wheels roll” and continuing to do what we do.

13. In the doorway:

Music: A Misfits cover that has been kept pretty true to its core with all the down strokes on the guitar and their signature vocal melodies. The lovely mr Jake Star,r formerly of Adam West and currently from Starr and the Czars, gives a great guest appearance on the vocals on this song.

Lyrics: A classic Danzig horror movie-themed lyric
