Track By Tracks: Legionary - Never-Ending Quest For Purpose (2026)

1. Sentenced to a Life of Chronic Guilt

The album begins with a sound clip of what sounds like trumpets in the sky. It's apparently a real phenomenon that happens. I wanted to give the listeners a feeling of coming judgement right off the bat. The rest of this track is an instrumental, giving the listeners a taste of what's to come musically. I came up with the title because we live much of our lives feeling guilty because of what mainstream religions teach us. I believe it's all for the reason of keeping us in a constantly weakened state.

2. If the Judges Became the Judged

"If the Judges Became the Judged" is a song about what we're taught from the dominant mainstream religions of the world. My existential mind doesn't accept that there is just "one all-loving god", if he'd allow such suffering to exist. I'm not an atheist, and I don't believe any of what we see just randomly happened, so if there isn't just one god, naturally that leads me to think that there must be multiple gods (or judges in this case) that rule over us. In this track, I'm imagining what it would be like to judge the higher powers for what they've allowed to happen here on earth.

3. Never-Ending Quest for Purpose

"Never-Ending Quest for Purpose" is about living with the struggles of having existential OCD. It's about constantly wondering why we even exist, and trying to cope with the symptoms of the chronic anxiety that these uncomfortable questions bring on. The quest to find answers is "never-ending" because there are questions that we'll likely never get the answers to....

4. Controllers of Perception

"Controllers of Perception" is another anti-AI song, which seems to be a popular topic of discussion these days, but with a different than usual spin on it. I argue that the higher ups of this world have always had this technology and have been using it on us for a very long time. It's just that now is the time that they've decided to reveal some of this technology to us, for whatever reason. Can we ever trust the news again, with how easy it is to fake things now, just by entering a few prompts?

Story Without Closure

"Story Without Closure" is about being fed up with this fake world and realizing that there likely will never be the so-called "end of days" that the Bible tells us about. We seem destined to just live here, serve out our sentence, and die. No one is coming to save us, while history continues to repeat with each passing generation. The story is without closure, and to me, that really sucks and is tough to deal with mentally. I hope I'm wrong, but all of the psyops we get daily are just there to keep us in fear, and keep us locked into this prison realm that they've created for us.
