Behind The Tracks: Solar Mantra - A Brand New Grave (Single) (2026)
A Brand new grave, somehow, is a love song, a ballad. It talks about love from a very particular point of view: it describes a bond of love that chains you and traps you with no chance to escape. It tells about the fear of freedom, about the inability to be alone and to experience life without anyone explaining how to handle it, without anyone telling us what to feel and how to feel it. Many people live their own terrible compromise of love, in their own golden cage, just not to fight and face the truth of their feelings.
And they dig their brand new grave. Musically speaking, the Song combines a lighter, more mellow verse with a more aggressive, monolithic chorus. The peculiarity is that the intro and verse feature this almost funky 4/4 idea, while the chorus has a more stoner, three-bar riff, which probably gives the song a less predictable feel. Furthermore, as we've done previously, the final section takes on a completely different feel, with more rock-inspired references à la Queens of the Stone Age. => https://song.link/solarmantra_bng
