Behind The Track Interviews: Fahrenheit Paradox - Time (Single) (2026)
1. What was the inspiration behind “Time”?
In all of your life, no matter what you decide to do, there will always be that clock, ticking. No matter your beliefs, an undeniable truth is that our time in this world is limited, and it should be something to always have in mind. This is particularly evident when you see good friends and loved ones die, some having done great things; others, not much so.
2. How did the concept of this song develop—was it planned or did it come together organically?
As we made the songs of the album, we wanted to dedicate a song to this topic, as we grow older and time seems to run faster as we go. It was planned, but the lyrics leave an imprint of what we actually feel, as we become more aware of how little time we have left. A couple of decades? Who knows. Even that feels short.
3. What message or feeling do you want listeners to take away from the track?
Without patronizing, as everyone decides how to live, but do all you can with the time you're given. Live to the fullest, dare to do what you wish to do, and don't waste this chance. Also, remember that there's still time left to recover from past mistakes, as long as you're still here among the living.
4. How does “Time” fit into the overall theme of World of Chaos?
World of Chaos visits different facets, or states, in the human experience. Time is one of those facets, as it is the relentless march of life, sprouting and decaying, never waiting for anyone.
5. Are there specific personal experiences that influenced the lyrics?
One of them could be the actual work to keep the band going over the years. Many artists expect to hit it big while very young, but oftentimes this isn't the case. We saw the rise and fall of many artists who started along with us, who fell prey to disillusionment, as they weren't getting the success they wanted. We still question ourselves at times, since we keep walking into the unknown, but we haven't lost the drive to make music that we feel proud of.
6. Which part of the song are you most proud of musically?
It's hard to say. It is more of how all the parts make something greater when put together. That is what we felt when we had the final mix. Giving it more thought, one last change in the chorus made all the difference; an extra guitar layer with a simple riff gave the extra push in dynamics.
7. Did you face any challenges while creating the track?
It was more at the beginning of the album, when we were experimenting with a new style of vocals, not just the clean voice we used in past albums. It was challenging in concept, but it wasn't as hard when we made tests and found the right amount of grit for it, haha.
8. How do you approach balancing emotion and technical precision in your music?
All songs have to be ruled by a theme, and not by how prodigious you can be. Of course, we always aim to do better with each work, but you have to be mindful of what the topic and the lyrics are conveying, to decide where to go all out and when to leave breathing room, in terms of arrangements, riffs, and all.
9. Are there any artists or bands that inspired this song?
Not particularly, but as they say, we are all standing on the shoulders of giants. We still have a sweet tooth for Metallica, King Diamond, and we are also motivated by the new trends and great new acts popping out in recent years, like Spiritbox and Bad Omens.
10. How does performing a song like “Time” live differ from recording it?
I'd say that live performing is when we go crazy. Studio time is a controlled fire, releasing energy in short bursts. We like both sides, one when it's only you in a room and the other when you see the reactions and connect with others in the venue.
11. What do you hope fans will do with the time they spend listening to this song?
To live life to the fullest. Some cartwheeling and headbanging would be good, but warm up first. We want you guys to last!
12. Is there anything else about “Time” or World of Chaos you’d like to share with readers?
Keep watch! Every song is dear to us, but we are leaving the best for last! We still have some surprises in store with the full album release. May we see you guys in future shows!
