Behind The Tracks: AVALAND - Sail On (Single) (2026)
'Sail On' is a powerful, dark yet full of hope hymn-like song. Heavy riffs inspired by Black Sabbath classics blended into a more symphonic, modern, and storytelling energy. If you enjoy choruses that stick in your mind, epic vocals, and solos, we sincerely think that this one is made for you. This song is not only a journey to hell, but it's also an allegory to how we can face our darkest moments, and how to find the light again."
And here's the longer version of Adrien's quote from the press release:
"This is the first song composed by our guitarist, Lucas. He wanted to record a track to replace my first idea, which was too ‘happy’ for what this song is about. Then one day, he sent me his first instrumental demo, and I directly answered, “Ok, give me the afternoon, I have ideas for lyrics and melodies,” and 90% of the song was there four hours later! Everyone in the band loved it, and it was really cool to add the final touches on this song together with everyone. All the guys in the band and all the people who could listen to the demo agree with the fact that it’s a really strong track – an epic and dramatic hymn you can’t resist singing!"
