Interviews: Aranda

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock band, Aranda, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their WEBSITE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name?

It's actually our last name. We thought if Van Halen and Bon Jovi could do it, why not us? Plus, we had some really bad names, and that was kind of the other reason we chose it.

2. Was it planned, or did it just happen organically?

Definitely organically.

3. Why did you choose to play this genre?

We enjoy all kinds of music. Rock is a very broad genre. We were heavily influenced by a band called Living Colour. We enjoy infusing elements of funk, blues, jazz, and pop music into the rock we produce.

4. Did you know each other before forming the band?

We've known each other since birth!

5. What is each band member's favorite band?

Gabe - Living Colour 

Dameon - Led Zeppelin

6. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We love the craft of songwriting. We are constantly writing about a ton of different kinds of feelings and subjects.

7. Where was your last gig?

It was a hometown show in OKC. It was amazing! Where would you like to perform in the future? Europe.

8. Which artist or band would you like to collaborate with?

I think it would be fun to collaborate with a lot of people, but I would love the chance to rock with Aerosmith!

9. Is there anyone you wouldn’t want to collaborate with?

That's a loaded question. Haha, I can't think of one at the moment.

10. Have any of you ever experienced stage fright?

Almost every night. It goes away right when we hit the stage.

11. Do you have any tips for beginners on overcoming it?

Always be overly prepared. That always helps my nerves.

12. Which bands have influenced you the most?

Living Colour, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder

13. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A lock of my hair

14. What do you think of your fans?

We have the best fans in the world!

It's rad!
