Interviews: Pirineos En Llamas

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Rock band Pirineos En Llamas from Colombia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it come out just like that?

It came just like that. We were between two other names, and the discussion went to a WhatsApp group that was created as "Los Pirineos en Llamas", and it sounded better for us than the other ones, so we kept it.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Not a specific reason, it was like the perfect mix for our influences and taste.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, some of us played together in previous bands, and we knew each other from the scene in Medellín.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Pirineos en Llamas

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

What is happening in the present moment?

6. Where was your last gig?

In Medellín, we played a beautiful show in La Razón with Volcán and Higuita en Chanclas.

7. Where would you like to act?

In Japan, with Mount Fuji behind us. 8. Whom would you like to feature with? Shakira

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Yes, we think it's normal. Believing in yourself and just do it, that brings magic to your life. And of course, two shots of rum.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Soda Stereo, Blink-182, Alfredo Gutiérrez.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To perform a striptease

13. What do you think of your fans?

They have very good taste in music.
