Artist Recommendations from Crimson Day

Wings of Steel is bringing back the old school heavy metal! Great riffs and great songs, and they know how to put on a show. In addition to their musical style nods to old-school heavy metal, their own distinctive touch is also visible in it. They bring a sense of freshness to the genre.

Battering Ram is a Swedish hard rock band and is definitely worth checking out! Their straightforward songs, combined with a really heavy sound, get your head moving. In addition, the distinctive vocalist brings their own great touch to it. Metsatöll is a great Estonian metal band that you should definitely check out if you like folk elements and raw sounds. They are a great live band, and I'm mostly fascinated by Lauri Õunapuu's talent with folk instruments as well as his super low and deep voice.

Seven Spires from the USA plays symphonic metal, and I'm really amazed by the versatile voice of Adrienne Cowan as well as their compositions and how they mix different elements from other genres into their powerful music. I first saw Adrienne singing live in Switzerland with Avantasia, and I just had to find out about her and her band.

Lordi's horror-themed and slightly humorous music sinks in really easily to everyone. There are light songs and also heavier ones. There is definitely something for everyone. Catchy melodies that stay in your head. Big, big recommendation!

The Ferrymen are not very well known, but the band has long-standing professional musicians. This is their side project. Really entertaining heavy music and sick tight guitar riffs.

Disco Ensemble is a high-energy Finnish rock band that mixes punk rock speed, post-hardcore intensity, and catchy pop melodies into something that feels both aggressive and uplifting. Their final tour was in December 2018.

Enter Shikari is a British band that is hard to put in a single genre, because mixing genres is basically their whole identity. They blend post-hardcore rock, electronic dance music, punk energy, and political lyrics into one intense, emotional experience. They can go from screaming guitars to rave synths in the same song—and make it feel natural.

Mourning High is a four-piece band from Arizona, USA. These boys play riffs and solos like it is 1985 all over again. If you like old school trash, open an ice-cold beer and play Crowd Control. I promise you it will make you mosh.

Lovebites is a Power Metal band from Japan. Awesome songs and playing. They just kick ass, just go and listen to the Judgment Day album.
