Band Biographies: BIRDLORD

Formed in late 2023 by guitarist Lily Lord and drummer Gaia Giacomelli, who had been making music together for years, BIRDLORD quickly transformed a shared artistic vision into tangible momentum. Within their first year, the band released the EPs Snake Charmer and Serpent's Prayer, establishing a presence in the Swiss alternative rock scene. Their music blends progressive and psychedelic elements into a dense, energetic sound, where fuzz-driven riffs meet spherical soundscapes, driving grooves, and unexpected dynamic shifts. Songs move effortlessly between power and vulnerability, with multilingual lyrics in Spanish and English that carry intensity without tipping into melodrama.

A defining moment came in summer 2025, when bassist Köbi Ferber joined the band, completing the trio and sharpening their sonic identity. Since then, BIRDLORD’s sound has matured: more precise, uncompromising, and dynamically multi-layered. What began as raw energy is now a focused exploration of texture, emotion, and tension.
