Behind The Artworks: Engorgement - They Rot Beneath Our Floor (2026)

We came up with the concept and fed back to Christian an awful lot (possibly annoying him, haha!). We had a particular vision, and he was the man who had the skill to bring that out. The artwork is designed to follow the theme of the album, They Rot Beneath Our Floor. Whilst there are physical bodies rotting under the floorboards, the idea is that this is a normal intellectual person living a normal life who is calculated as opposed to insane. The theme of the album is twofold: the brutality of corpses rotting beneath the floor, and secondly, the empowerment for people to stand up, feel confident, and see that mainstream society rots beneath your floor when you stand above it
