Behind The Artworks: Mörkekraft - Fragments (2026)
The cover photo was taken in 2014 by Roger on a family trip to Denmark at Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse by the North Sea — a lighthouse long threatened by coastal erosion and no longer in use as a lighthouse. Inside, there was an art installation of mirrors mounted upward through the tower. The photo is shot straight up, capturing repeating reflections climbing into the distance — surreal and hypnotic, like a corridor into something unknown.
From there, Roger leaned into what he loves in artistic graphic design: layer on layer, inspired by graphic designer Stanley Donwood. Subtle details were added to underline the mysterious, slightly occult atmosphere that runs through parts of the album’s lyrics, while still letting the original photograph breathe. The final colour palette captures the mood of Fragments: beauty, unease, and depth living side by side.
The Next Chapter
Fragments might be our first full collection, but it’s not the end of the story. There are already new fragments taking shape in the rehearsal room — fresh riffs, very old riffs, and half-finished melodies and ideas we’re excited to push further. Now that the band is fully in motion, we don’t plan to let another decade pass before the next chapter arrives.
