Interviews About Albums: Telomyras - Duskfall (2026)

In this new interview, we sat down with the American Heavy Metal band Telomyras to ask questions about their album, "Duskfall".

1. What can you say about this new album?

“Duskfall” is our debut full-length album, and we are very proud of the work we have done on it. It features our best songwriting to date, and we think any fan of heavy music would enjoy listening to it.

2. What is the meaning of the album name?

“Duskfall alludes to the sunset, dusk, liminal spaces, the space between light and dark. It's meant to walk the line between finality and new beginnings.

3. Which one is the composer of the album?

Telomyras has several composers who write different parts of the music. We usually begin with a guitar riff/melody and arrangement structure and build out the drums, bass, and vocals from there.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

Our debut single for the album “Attrition” is a great track to hear what Telomyras is all about. It has the aggression and energy that we wanted to convey on “Duskfall” with some interesting progressions as well. Different metal fans have compared us to many different bands, and we think that's wonderful that our influences come through our songs.

5. Is there a special message in this album? If there is what it is?

While this isn't a concept album, I (Ephraim) do think the track order conveys a theme/narrative of loss and even a suicidality from it by track 8. Capping off the album is a bit of hope, and a way to strike back at the forces oppressing you, a tiny hope in the middle of the storm. Sammie wrote every song about its own thing, but I see each song as the loss of body, spirit, autonomy, future, and love.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

“I let you go
And like the dove you greeted me
You let me know
Morning came to light my way home"

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

We will not appreciate our cohorts in the Seattle music scene who've let us open for them, encouraged us, and given us a push. I (Ephraim) would also like to make it known every day how much I love the folks in Telomyras. Their patience, expression, and friendship. Wherever life goes, I'll never forget them.

8. Something to add?

If you like our music, please give us a follow/like/bump on those socials. We'd love to perform for anyone and with every band we can if the demand happens to be there. Thank you to everyone who's loving Attrition so far!
