Interviews: Inoria

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Rock band Inoria from Denmark. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it just come out like that?

Inoria is a mix between the Word "In" and the Word (Oria) that has various origins, but in most of them signifies something similar to "light." So the name makes reference to being " inside of the light " or "surrounded by light."

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Our plan is not to have a particular genre, we can jump to make a heavy metal song, to make something more progressive, or maybe make a ballad if we feel like. We don't want to be a band that plays the same kind of music, the same song repeated in 100 other songs.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, Franco, our singer, started looking for people on social media to join a serious music project in 2022. We have a couple of rehearsals together, and instantly we notice a good musical chemistry.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

I think the 3 of us mostly have Tool or Opeth as our main bands and influences.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life, not the daily struggles like going to work, but the meaning of it. Also, the fact that you create something that wasn't there before, its almost magical, even if it some people may like it or some people think it sucks, at the end of the day its your baby, its something that grows from you, and you can be proud that you created, that's why we are quite against the use of Ai for making music in any form, everybody is free to do whatever they want, but at the end of the day, it takes the joey away.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in June 2025, in Ama BIO, a really nice venue in Copenhagen, where we play on the finals of Emergenza, a kind of battle of bands. We didn't won but at least we made it to the finals fighting against a band that was from a totally different type of genre. Now we are more focused on creating and recording. We are planning to play live again by the end of this year.

7. Where would you like to act?

Wherever it doesn't matter, for 10 people, for 100, for 1000, we enjoy every moment.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Opeth, Tool, Metallica, hard and far... but dreaming is free, right?

9. Whom not?

Pass

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Well, we are quite beginners, we would say. No, we are not in a position to give advice, but if we have to give one, always aim high, just rehearse a lot, and at the end of the day, if it was bad, ok, or super good, it was better to go there and play rather than just stay in your house being afraid of show your music.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Tool, Sabbath, Opeth, Metallica, Soen ....

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Not the weirdest at all, but the nicest was when a girl from the audience told us that our song "Reunite" means a lot to her, since a facility member just recently died.

13. What do you think of our site?

Super complete. and good for bands that are trying to get a spotlight
