Behind The Artworks: The Divine Project - Rebirth (2026)

David (Guitar): The name “Rebirth” is inspired by our new line-up and era for The Divine Project. We wanted to avoid the cliche of “reincarnation of a phoenix from the ashes"-style imagery, but still have this sort of fantastical, “Final Fantasy-esque” element to the artwork for our first EP. That’s when Ro brought us the idea of the angel, which checks the boxes and also aligns more closely with the theme of our band. (Divine, ergo Angel, you get it.) This is why the angel is forming up from dust, holding up the staff, kind of breaking through the void. We’ve yet to start working on the design or title for our follow-up EP, but based on the feelings we get from the music itself, you can expect it to be dark, lonesome, and a bit uncomfortable.

Another fun fact: for Rebirth, the staff that the angel is holding is somewhat a 3D rendering of an idea that we had for a band emblem. We figured that’s what it would look like in ‘real life’.
