Behind The Artworks: Midland Railway - Hair Song (Single) (2026)

We were not sure what to do on the artwork front - the lyrics to Hair Song are quite abstract, so there was no obvious image to use. However, Teddy (one of my cats, mentioned in the outro on She Loves Ted Bundy), has very beautiful hair, which she maintains meticulously, so I put forward this photo of her, which my partner, Lizzie, had taken. No one could think of any better ideas, and we wanted to steer clear of using any AI images, so Lizzie simply added the band logo and the song name to the photo.

 

Teddy was initially named Courtney Love when we adopted her, but she is such a teddy bear - she wants to sit on or pressed against her favourite people all the time, so Teddy quickly became her nickname, which then became the primary name she is known by. She has been trying to clamber across the keyboard while I have been writing this. I think she would approve of her photo being seen around the world.
