Interviews About Albums: Racimo - Landing (2026)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Chilean Rock band Racimo to ask questions about their album, "Landing".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

Landing (2026) is the fourth studio album by Racimo, a rock band with extensive experience on the national and international scene. It was a long-term project, starting in 2024 and mainly in 3 stages, from composition, demos, pre-production, final production, recording, and mixing, which has left us very satisfied and with a very well-achieved sound in all 10 songs.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

This new album Landing, is the direct sequel to their previous release, Flying (2022), which presented a narrative concept based on the idea of escaping by envisioning a better future. However, with Landing, we ultimately had to land in a world in crisis and with complex prospects.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

Esteban Cataldo (guitar) and Rodrigo Sandoval (voice) are the principal composers of this material, also supported by our producer Nicolás Arce.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

"The Landing" is particularly satisfying, given its blend of rock power and melodic elements, a hallmark of Racimo's sound throughout their history. Of course, we must also mention "Caer", a song with high rock potential.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD?If there is what it is?

Landing album presents a narrative concept based on the idea of land in a world in crisis and with complex prospects, following the conceptual line presented in the previous work, Flying, already mentioned.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

The songs  "Sobevivir", "Mapa estelar", "TheLanding" and "Caer" have excellent lyrics, which will soon be available on our Spotify channel, where all the band's material throughout its history is located.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Racimo's influences are varied, which sometimes makes it difficult to classify them into a single style. Of course, there are both national and international influences. Nationally, Los Jaivas, Vidrios Quebrados, Matorral, and Tumulto are relevant bands that we really like, and internationally, the focus is on English rock bands from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, grunge, and various metal bands.

8. Something to add?

It is an honor for us that you can enjoy Landing and Racimo's music! We send warm greetings from Chile to all the rock fans and musical audience.
