Track By Tracks: Ignition - All Will Die (2026)
1. All Will Die:
All Will Die was one of the first songs that was made for the record, and it was
crystal clear from the beginning that it would be part oft he album. It has that heavy
riff in the beginning, followed by the uptempo, uncompromising thrash part for the
verses, culminating in a catchy hymn-like chorus. The song sets the tone for the new
record and for what Ignition stands for in 2026. It is not a surprise that it became the
title track of the album.
2. Amok:
The song begins with that spherical double ad part, only to continue the rough tone of
the opener. Amok has that huge chorus with floating guitar melodies in the
background embedded in modern thrash parts of the verses and pre-choruses. The
riffing even got that subconscious metalcore vibe coming from the influences of the
guitarists Sebastian and Andreas, who were more involved in the songwriting of the
album. After always having a Viking story on the last three records, the songs show
that „new direction“ of Ignition without ignoring their traditional influences.
3. Under The Reign Of A Psychopath:
Another uptempo thrasher! Vocalist Schally describes in his lyrics the situation of the
modern world, which makes the whole theme more relevant than ever. Picking up the
whole political mess of the current situation, the track punches directly in the face of the listener with heavy riffing, kicking his face with uptempo drumming and
aggressive vocals.
4. End Of The Night:
End Of The Night is the first single of the album and combines everything that
Ignition stands for! It had the working title „Killswitch“ because of its mid-tempo
chorus with its huge guitar melodies. By remaining in the tradition of their homearea
the „Ruhrpott“ that metalcore-like chorus is surrounded by a symbiosis of modern and
traditional thrash metal riffing and Schally's aggressive vocals which rise up to the
traditional catchy metal hook line in the chorus.
5. The Decline:
The Decline shows the melodic side of Ignition. The chorus invites the listener to
sing along with its straight pop melody. The verses have that modern pumping
guitars leading in a traditional power metal pre-chorus. Vocalist Schally requests in the
middle of the song, "Raise your fists and fight“. Nothing left to say.
6. In The Name Of God:
Following the tradition of power metal, In The Name of God is the most traditional
track oft he record. Twin guitar harmonies and driving drums fire up the song. The
lyrics thematically treat the religious crusades of the present and past. It´s a straight
metal song and a great counterpoint to the more modern thrashy alignment of the
rest of the album.
7. Into The Abyss:
Following the path of In The Name Of God Into The Abyss is a traditional Ignition
banger which shows that they don´t think in musical genres or limit themselves
to one direction. A doublebass-driven kind of melodic death riff imprinted verse
leads to the maybe biggest hymn and the most rhythmic song on the whole record.
8. This Rotten Core:
This Rotten Core is maybe the darkest track of the record and the second single oft
he album. The song lives on the straight heavy midtempo riffing. The utopian theme
that is the base of the lyrics seems to be solved by the hookline of the melodic chorus, only to be destroyed by an „Open The fire“ followed by an instrumental part which
breathes a kind of melodic death attitude.
9. In The Silence:
In this song, Igniton explores the boundaries of their metal cosmos. The riffing remains
with bands like Nevermore and makes the track the most progressive song on the record.
The song has this dark and heavy part in the middle, which is carried by surprising double leads. Overall, the chorus stands with its huge vocals.
10. The Ending Calls:
Starting with some spherical clean guitars, the last song oft he album lulls the listener
into security only to be punched in the face with heavy modern riffing. Vocalist Schally
sets a new attitude with some oriental vocals in the pre-chorus before requesting
„Show me the answer to it all“. The chorus encloses the song with its huge melodies
to sing along before the clean guitars come up again, ringing in the end oft he album
