Behind The Artworks: Cavada Project - Abraxas (Single) (2026)

For this cover artwork, we chose not to portray Abraxas from a traditional perspective but instead reinterpret the figure through a more modern cosmic aesthetic, while still preserving the symbolism and duality that define the original concept.

The visual direction is deeply connected to my own dark fantasy imagery, inspired by artists who drink from the same source, where celestial figures and metaphysical entities are not only spiritually and physically advanced beings, but also possess technologies and ornaments far beyond our understanding. The character’s design combines technological shapes with mystical elements to reinforce this idea, while details such as the eyes were emphasized to strengthen the concept of multiple prisms of vision.

From a design standpoint, this decision also comes from the sound of the song itself, which, much like the concept of Abraxas, represents several dualities: brutality and melody, technique and feeling, modern and classic, etc. The musical palette was quite broad, so as a debut single, the cover artwork also needed to reflect all of those colors.
