Behind The Artworks: Inscribed - Upon The Twisted Throne (2026)

Before we had even written anything for this record, we already knew it was going to be called Upon the Twisted Throne and had an idea for how the artwork was going to turn out. It ended up being slightly different from how we envisioned it originally, but it came out just as sick. I love the return of In Silent Oblivion’s weird planet demons as they terrorize and maybe possess this praying or worshipping little guy. I’m not entirely sure what is actually happening, but I do know for sure that it looks badass. I’m also very happy with how the color scheme turned out, especially regarding the crazy new 3-D logo. We wanted the logo to give an idea of our new sound with bright colors and a totally imposing character. Metallica’s jump in sound from Kill ‘Em All to Ride the Lightning, coming along with a similar change in logo, was definitely a big point of reference for this change. I think it came out super sick.
