Interviews: They Went Ghost
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Hip-Hop/Reggae band They Went Ghost from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it just come out like that?
Back in 2013, Kolby asked our former band member Leland, "What happened to that girl you were dating?" Leland replied, "She went ghost." Kolby said, "That would be a great band name." Leland replied, " THEY Went Ghost." It stuck ever since
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We took inspiration from every band we loved and mixed it up to create our ideal sound
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Kolby, Mike, and Dan knew each other before the band started playing music together. We met Celi last year, and she had the same passion and spark as the rest of the members. She tried out, and we've been together ever since
4. Each band member's favourite band?
Kolby’s favorite band is Minus the Bear. Dan’s is Dirty Heads. Mike’s is Limp Bizkit. Celi’s is Korn.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Something that inspires us to write is events that happen in life
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was at Green River in Winters, CA.
7. Where would you like to act?
We would love to play any big venue or festival again. Wembley Stadium would be epic
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We would love to feature Paramore, Limp Bizkit, or literally any band we love
9. Whom not?
We would not want to play with Marilyn Manson
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
Yes, we have for sure suffered from stage fright, and sometimes still get nervous before large shows. The best way to get through it is to keep practicing like we are performing
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
The bands that have inspired us the most are Incubus, Limp Bizkit, Sublime, Deftones, and so many more on our lists
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Luckily, we don’t have any crazy, weird stories. We do get the occasional fans asking questions that are a bit too personal, though.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are the reason we keep going and want to do our best all the time. The support and love we get from our fans give us energy and drive, and we hope to welcome more to our community.
14. What do you think of our site?
To add We are so grateful for all the opportunities we are presented with. Our music is our passion. Being able to embrace and keep a crowd's attention is truly rewarding. We all love what we do, spreading joy through music and building a following
