Behind The Artworks: Purging Iesous - Atheos (2026)
The artwork for Atheos was originally art from the “Bible of Holkham” in the 12th century, provided by the British Library in London. It is a depiction of the crucifixion of Christ that is seemingly gruesome and tragic. I spent a lot of time ensuring the artwork would be utilized in a way that felt blasphemous and yet true to the original spirit of its usage. I’m sure some people would actually write this off as something they wouldn’t want to see, let alone listen to, right from the start, but this just isn’t made for most people. This artwork and music are intended to be a brutal and honest reflection of what humans have done with their faith.
