Jordan Zagerman (Doghouse Rose): “Born To Break Even” was written as an ode to all of us grinding it out to get by, and doing it with a head held high! As a touring band that also holds down multiple jobs, this phrase hits very close to home.

 

We pride ourselves on our DIY spirit, and the music video was as DIY as it gets! Everything, and I mean everything, was made by hand. Even some of the skateboards were made using popsicle sticks and beads as wheels! We wanted to do a skate video for a while, and this song felt like the perfect vibe sonically. And with the scrappy, arts and crafts approach, it felt like a perfect fit conceptually too.
