Interviews: Martyrs Saint

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Thrash Metal/Crossover band Martyrs Saint from England. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it come out just like that?

We were originally called Martyr, but that was already taken. Later, we held a fan vote, and Martyrs Saint won

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Crossover enveloped all the sounds that we love, Breakdowns, solos, D beats, and gang vocals have always been part of our natural process.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Louie and Amaré went to college together, Brandon met them in a club smoking area, and Harv was later auditioned in.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Brandon: Right now, it’s Youth Of Today

Amaré: AC/DC

Harv: Ado

Louie: It changes alot but probably Megadeth at the moment

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Feeling the need to vent mainly, turning frustrations or situations into songs helps lighten the load a bit

6. Where was your last gig?

Manchester, Bank Top Tavern

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere in Europe is the next big goal

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Drain.

9. Whom not?

We’re a pretty open book in all honesty

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

All the time, the best thing you can do is rehearse how you mean to play live.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Collectively, Megadeth, Metallica, Gojira, Hatebreed, and Terror have all had their impact

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Outside of being hit on, there’s nothing too crazy

13. What do you think of your fans?

They’re our rock; we can’t express how much gratitude we have to the people who constantly support us. We’re a community band, so without them, we have no shoulders to stand on.

14. What do you think of our site?

The site looks great, love to see a bunch of bands getting support.
