Interviews: The Unholy

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band The Unholy from Mexico. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or did it just come out like that?

We called ourselves "The Unholy Hallelujah," inspired by the contradiction between the meanings; later, it was shortened to "The Unholy."

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Because we’re passionate about it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We met a short while before, and it was love at first sight.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Jorge: Pantera

Chema: Terrorizer

Urrus: Opeth.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our daily lives and the people around us.

6. Where was your last gig?

Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico 🇲🇽

7. Where would you like to act?

The Vatican… or Rock al Parque 🇨🇴

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Opeth… or some backing vocals by Glenn Benton.

9. Whom not?

The bald guy from Disturbed.

10. Has any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Practice makes perfect… or smoke a joint.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Pantera, Terrorizer, Opeth, Slayer, Michael Jackson—hee-hee.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Our collection of pubic hair. Of course we gave it to him.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They aren't fans; they're family.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s fucking cool; we want some hoodies.
