Band Biographies: MÄR

Founded in Vancouver in January 2026, MÄR brings together five experienced musicians with a shared passion for melodic death metal and high-energy live performance. Drawing inspiration from the melodic aggression of In Flames and the intensity of Children of Bodom, the band delivers a sound built on memorable melodies, crushing riffs, and powerful songwriting.

Comprised of Alex (lead guitar and primary songwriter), Mike (rhythm guitar), Eric (bass), Brian (drums), and Daniel (vocals), MÄR places riffs and melodies at the center of everything they do. Their music is heavy, direct, and uncompromising while remaining accessible through strong hooks and dynamic arrangements.

Currently releasing their debut EP, with a full-length album written and planned for production early next year, MÄR is building momentum quickly. Above all, the band believes that music is meant to be experienced live and is committed to delivering energetic, dependable, engaging, and memorable performances wherever they play.
