Behind The Artworks: Miscreance - Reminiscence (2026)
As was already the case with “Convergence,” for this latest album too, we decided to grant complete freedom to the artist we chose, allowing her to interpret the meaning of our record in her own way.
Mona Shiraz was the creator of this artwork, and we are absolutely thrilled with it. With just a few guidelines, mainly regarding the colors we wanted to have, she managed to fully grasp the album's atmosphere, making it her own and transposing it onto oil on canvas. We chose her primarily because, in her previous works, she had a truly unique style of creating those filaments that you can also see on our cover, and we absolutely wanted to include them as well.
Reading the album's concept and then looking at the cover, one might wonder what the meaning and the connection between them are. But the fact is, throughout the entire duration of the record, we have been telling a story about something we don't actually know. Therefore, giving a defined face and shape to the civilization we spoke of would have stripped away the very fascination it held for us. The truth is that only the music of “Reminiscence” itself can explain the album cover, as it is its exact transposition in image form, just as any sound has its own precise waveform.
The artist, Mona Shiraz, speaks about the painting on the cover art: “This painting explores the fragile space where memory, emotion, and transformation intertwine. I’m honoured that it found a new voice through Miscreance’s music, where sound and image meet in the same raw, emotional landscape.”
