Marcus Levin (synthesizer & director): Throughout the video, the main character is portrayed as running from his own problems, constantly looking back to see them following close behind. Rather than confronting them, he chooses to escape, allowing them to grow stronger and more overwhelming over time. The story represents how avoiding our struggles often gives them more power. What may begin as something small and manageable can eventually become impossible to ignore when left unresolved. Instead of facing his problems when they first appear, the character is forced to confront them later – unprepared, overwhelmed, and in a much more difficult situation than if he had faced them from the beginning. The video is intentionally open to interpretation, but the overall narrative we aim to portray is that many of humanity’s greatest struggles and conflicts originate from within ourselves. Despite our extraordinary technological progress, we are still driven by ancient instincts – fear, paranoia, and the belief that others are threats. We have developed the tools to reach beyond ourselves, yet we often remain trapped by the same primitive emotions that have shaped humanity for thousands of years. The message is a reflection on whether we can overcome those internal conflicts, step outside our own perspectives, and learn to see ourselves and each other more objectively – everyone is an individual with a beating, warm heart just trying to get through this magic thing called life.
