Interviews: Voted Most Likely

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Midwest Emo/Post-Emo/Pop Punk band Voted Most Likely from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE. 

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name?

The band name was inspired by the Man Overboard song “Voted Most Likely”

2. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Scott(vocals) and Ben(drums) knew each other and were in 2 previous pop-punk projects together. However, as a band, we first met on Joinmyband.com - which we find hilarious.

3. Why did you want this genre?

We were all drawn into the rawness of it. It’s one of those genres where imperfection is accepted and embraced, and you can really allow yourself to expose a vulnerable side and express that through the music.

4. Where would we like to act?

A dream would be either Key Club in Leeds or Slam Dunk Festival one day.

5. What bands have inspired you the most?

hot mulligan, modern baseball, arms length, Ben quad.

6. What do you think of your fans?

We feel incredibly fortunate to have such supportive friends, family, and fans. Without them, we may not have been so motivated to get where we are.

7. Whom would you like to feature with?

hot mulligan, American football, modern baseball, Ben Quad, or Mom Jeans.

8. Have you ever had stage fright? What advice would you give to beginners?

We get nervous before most shows, but it’s natural, and it’s only because we care so much. It’s not a bad thing. We feel just as nervous for small shows as we do for big ones. Advice would be to try and stay loose, shake it off backstage, and focus on channeling all of that nervous energy into positive energy for your performance.
