Track By Tracks: Manifest - Nothing Left To Kill (2026)
Album title:
The title Nothing Left To Kill, along with the album artwork, is a really direct message, I think. I guess you can say that it represents the absolute endpoint.
Track descriptions:
1. Praying for Armageddon:
The opening track has a very cool and dramatic intro made by an artist called Pauldron. Our producer knows him and got him on board for the project. Super stoker over how the intro came out, fits the song perfectly!
2. Hazard of the Die:
One of the first songs we wrote for the album, and the first track to be recorded. The lyrics are about the uncertainty and risk involved in chance or fate, much like rolling a die where the outcome is unknown and uncontrollable.
3. Agent of Chaos:
Longest song on the record. High-speed thrash metal, with some cool dynamics in there, and it all ends with a long, super heavy part that reminds me of High on Fire
4. Scum:
Crazy lyrics, high-tempo d-beat hardcore with a mid section that is really heavy, with the drum sound making it sound like we're playing in a dome!
5. World is for Sale:
Second single, and Brave Words described it as “...a full-throttle thrash metal assault that wastes no time getting down to business. Driven by blistering riffs, relentless momentum, and an unmistakably old-school metal attitude, the track captures Manifest at their most aggressive and uncompromising…” Can't argue with that!
6. The Swarm:
A crazy song, but the intro riff reminds me of Nevermore, actually, before the hardcore chorus takes over. Lyrics are about our bass player Johnny, trying to relax in the summer sun with a cold beer, but he is attacked by evil bees.
7. 20 Years of Darkness:
The lyrics are about our band, actually. High-tempo verses, and some tribals and creepy read poems in the mid section. The song came out totally different than what we had worked on in the rehearsal room, in a good way!
Additionally, we'd love for you to answer the interview questions below to give readers a deeper look into MANIFEST, the band's return, the creation of Nothing Left To Kill, and the evolution of your sound over the years.
