Band Biographies: Ohmwork

Classic rock merged with doom, stoner, and a trace of prog.

Ohmwork is a Norwegian power trio from Tromsø, established in 2012. Built around massive riffs, thunderous bass, hard-hitting grooves, and melodic vocals, the band combines the raw attitude of classic rock with elements of doom, stoner, and progressive rock.

Featuring Anders L. Rasmussen (vocals/guitar), Helge Nyrud (bass) and Eirik Dahl (drums), Ohmwork has developed a reputation for powerful live performances and a sound that balances heaviness, melody and groove.

With six studio albums and several releases behind them, the band has toured extensively across Norway and abroad, sharing stages with artists including Jørn Lande and Bente Smaavik.

Their seventh album, Ex Nihilo, was released on September 18, 2026, marking a new chapter in the band's evolution. Recorded with a more direct, stripped-down approach, the album captures Ohmwork in its rawest and heaviest form yet.
