Behind The Artworks: Whore Of Bethlehem - Ritual Of Homicide (2023)

The album cover art for "Ritual of Homicide" is a depiction of our song Sermon of the Malignant Spirit. Here a religious cult-like following is led to their final resting place. In this graveyard hellscape, followers take a suicide pill and willfully thrash in agony in their own graves until they die. This is all done in an effort to affirm their belief. To be embraced by God in their final moment. Instead, they are pulled into the depths of hell by tortured souls. We enlisted the masterful skill of Jon Zig to create our album art. He had worked with him several times in the past, having done our album art for our second album (Extinguish the Light) and several shirt designs. If you're not familiar with his work, check him out. He has had a massive presence in the death metal scene for many years through his killer art and his musical projects: Sarcolytic, Images of Violence. and Serpentian. We decided to go with the name "Ritual of Homicide" for the album because each song is a depiction of suffering, hatred, and death.
