Over Wysteria Skies - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore/Post-Hardcore band Over Wysteria Skies from Italy, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The idea of our name came out from our guitarist Alessio, who was inspired by Albert Fish, a famous killer, well known also as "The Werewolf Of Wysteria". This place became part of the band's name. The other two words are totally random hahaha.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?  

When we met each other and took the decision about which kind of genre we would play, we chose this kind of music because at the time we had this passion in common!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Not everybody. Carlo (vocalist) already knew the two guitarists (Alessio and Fabio) with whom he played in past projects. Tullio (the bassist) was in the middle school with Alessio. Fabio and Simone (drummer) played together in a different band and Alessio was a friend of Carlo and Fabio.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Carlo- Linkin Park; Simone-Killswitch Engage; Fabio-August Burns Red; Alessio-Erra; Tullio-Pantera.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

It depends on how we feel at the moment. For example The last lyrics Carlo wrote were dedicated to his father, who was very important for him.

6. Where was your last gig?  

We played at the "Padiglione 14" in Collegno, next to our hometown.

7. Where would you like to act?  

We would like to act all over the world and in every possible place in the world! In particular in some Open Air Festivals like Warped Tour, Graspop, Wacken.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

We would like to play with some bands such as Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, A Day To Remember, Attila, Asking Alexandria, Killswitch Engage, Erra, Trivium, Memphis May Fire, While She Sleeps, The Ghost Inside etc.

9. Whom not?  

We would play with everyone possible, but if we have to choose we will say I See Stars, Falling In Reverse, Escape The Fate, Black Veil Brides, The Word Alive, Of Mice And Men, Issues etc.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Nobody had some because of past expereciences. Only Tullio was a beginner in the stage, but at our first concert he definetely killed it! The biggest tip we could give is not to smoke weed or drink before a concert...it is so painful for the performance! After that it's ok, but before maybe not!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

We have lots of different bands such as Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, Pantera, All That Remains, Emmure, Killswitch Engage, Asking Alexandria, While She Sleeps, Architects, Erra, The Ghost Inside, Tasters, Destrage, Chelsea Grin etc.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

The weirdest thing? Well, an Indonesian fan asked Alessio and Simone for a gangbang. That was too crazy hahaha.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They are so important for us and their support let us to go on with our dream!!!

14. What do you think of our site?  

It is a very good website, with a wide range of reviews and interviews to famous artists and not!

15.Something to add?

 Our drummer Simone is troublesome (molesto) and Alessio is a playboy! He has lots of fans in Veneto, in Italy (joke)!
