Wait For The Daylight - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore band Wait For The Daylight from France, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We tried to plan it but it was not convincing. So we decided to use the temporary name of our first song. That was a symbolic way to find our band name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Before making this project, we were in pop/rock bands. And it’s so boring on stage and in the pit. So we wanted to deal with that and add energy in our music but also keep melody. We thought the best way to do this was to play melodic hardcore.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

The band started with 3 old friends (vocal and guitars). Then we found two other guys thanks to internet. And now I guess we are 5 friends ahahah!

4. Each band member favourite band?

If we have to pick one :

Pierre - Hundredth

Romain - The Devil Wears Prada

Mario - Heart In Hand

Mehdi- Children Of Bodom

Ben - Lamb of God

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I think it's principally the feelings of the moment. And of course the music we are listening.

6. Where was your last gig?  

At this moment, we are finishing to write our first EP. But with our past bands, it was at L’Alhambra in Paris and Sebastopol in Lille, both in France.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Groezrock for sure! Cause we love this festival. And if we could play on every continent and meet people all around the world, that would be so awesome!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Bands that were mentioned in Q4, of course. Maybe The Charm The Fury, because we are very impress by Caroline. And other bands we like : Architects, Northlane, While She Sleeps, ...

9. Whom not?  

We can play with everybody. But is everybody can play with us?

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Yes of course. We think that the secret is to play something we trust and to be very prepared. If not, drink alcohol!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! because they are very talented and successful french people. We can learn a lot from them.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

"Do you plan to play shows?"

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Our fans are our friends!

14. What do you think of our site?
