Serving the Nails unfolds as the internalisation of the collective theistic thought pattern, as experienced through the self. Layers of suppressed impulses are the result of religious acceptance that forever deny letting one look inward, in the already existing prison of the self one does not know, and that which lies beneath the primal desires. Instead, it’s the belief that makes for righteous forces that enforce puritanical morals, creating a self-induced repressive system of conscience that accepts dogma and destroys any self left. Being complicit in suffering is a value one upholds to justify the inner guilt of this repression, to one’s own crucifixion to enable this dogma, passing down to the next in line, ultimately erasing the self and fracturing reality.
