Behind The Tracks: Seth Metoyer - A Sky Stitched In Blue (Single) (2025)

With “A Sky Stitched in Blue” I wanted to throw back to a time when music was a lifeline for me. Songs from the early 2000s carried real emotional weight. Tracks like Fuel’s “Hemorrhage,” Staind’s “It’s Been Awhile,” and Stone Sour’s “Through Glass” were huge for me when I was fighting through some of the hardest seasons of my life. I wanted to tap into that same spirit, where songs weren't just entertainment, they were survival.

Lyrically, this song is about the struggles we all face, and the fight to hold onto hope when life feels like it is coming apart. It is personal for me. I have dealt with depression and bipolar disorder, and part of this track is about learning to manage that. For a long time, I tried numbing it, but what actually made a difference was getting real professional help. Finding the right therapist, the right kind of medication that helped balance things without making me feel numb or disconnected. It took the right mixture of treatment, a strong inner circle, and a grounded spiritual path to really help me heal and move forward.

A Sky Stitched in Blue is about learning to feel again. It is about living through the hurt instead of running from it. It is about understanding that there is no shame in struggling with mental health or emotions. It is about stitching yourself back together emotionally, mentally, and spiritually when life tries to rip you apart.

In one way or another, we are all learning to stitch ourselves back together.
