Track By Tracks: ANCESTOR OF KAOS - Animal Ritual (2025)
1. “Death by Hanging” It’s a song about a man who is going to die by hanging, and while the crowd accuses and vilifies him, he is prepared to be erased from this world, knowing he’ll be a martyr. It was inspired by events from the American Revolutionary War and from real examples of how modern society has behaved when pushed to new limits and restrictions, and how it has reacted against dissenting voices.
2. “Eternal Night” is life after death, but by accepting to start a new journey, winged creatures on horses are descending from the sky to take you to an underworld after your soul leaves your body into a new beginning that’s total darkness forever.
3. “In Chariots of Grime” rides a man who doesn’t know he died and is condemned to be on the run, never getting to reach a destination, like a hamster in a wheel.
4. “Dance of the Sullen” is inspired by the dancing plague of 1518, and the lyrics reference Dante’s Inferno and the 9 circles of Hell.
5. “Legacy” is why we keep on creating and playing our music, and what are you willing to sacrifice for it?
6. “Exorcism of Liberation” is a song about freedom and the struggle of many friends who escaped oppression to survive many nights in the middle of the sea.
7. “Animal Ritual” is about sexual degenerate lust and a man’s disturbing obsession with his human-like object.
8. “Raven Raiser” it’s the tale of an old mountain man raising ravens to reach the skies, but they come back to eat his eyes. It’s inspired by the popular spanish refrain “Cría cuervos que te sacarán los ojos”
9. “Procreating Armageddon” is about rebellion and coming back stronger after a defeat, always through the process of creation.
10. “Under Red Menace” it’s about growing up under a totalitarian regime where everyone is forced to be equally mediocre and the constant menace for those living out of the ordinary.
