Band Biographies: MG3

MG3 is a groove-heavy thrash metal band that turns darkness, rage, and rebellion into raw sound. Formed in January 2024 in Turkey, MG3 delivers crushing riffs, bold lyrics, and relentless breakdowns—combining classic thrash energy with a modern groove-laden punch.

 

Their debut EP Eski Kan (February 2024) was followed by Düşman and, most recently Demirnefer in May 2025, making a rapid and aggressive entrance into the scene with three back-to-back EPs. Each release showcases their commitment to politically charged, high-intensity metal with a fierce sonic identity.

 

With official music videos available on Spotify and YouTube, MG3 continues to reach a growing audience both locally and abroad. Known for their DIY ethic and sharp production, they have already released 5 music videos and 3 EPs under their own label.

 

Led by veteran vocalist and lyricist Taylan Ayık, the band includes drummer Can Ekici, bassist Fatih Balcı, and lead guitarist Melih Gürkan. MG3 stands today as one of the most active and driven metal bands in Turkey’s underground scene.
