Behind The Scenes: Firebrand - Backburner (Official Video)

Gabe Gazic, Lead vocalist: I wanted the video to portray the themes of the song in a visually creative way. The feeling of someone keeping you "trapped" with the hope that they might come back, for example, I conveyed through having myself wrapped in chains by a succubus-type creature who creeps around me, sort of teasing me. And of course I had to literally adapt the "puppet on a string" line from the chorus by putting strings around my arms and legs and hanging them from the ceiling rafters, haha. That was the first idea I had for the concept; it just made sense. I'm not usually one to lean into theatrics with my musical content - I tend to keep things sort of low-key, but I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit because I think it made for a great video.
