"Before this song was written, we had come off a run of shows in Texas where Hanna and I agreed that while a few of our old songs sounded right, a lot of our set felt awkward by trying to force her vocals into songs that were very clearly not written with death metal parts in mind,” explains singer Devin Reiche. “For our first creative collaboration, I wanted to write something that would feel not only incomplete, but ‘impossible’ without her. I wanted to step away from the spotlight and give her the opportunity to truly dominate the entire sonic soundscape.
