Interviews: Fire The Humans
In this new occassion we have the opportunity to interview the Rock project Fire The Humans. Check it out!
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it just come out like that?
Fire the Humans was my tongue-in-cheek description of if we were being observed from some other planet or species, we would be fired for the job we're doing. Pollution, violence, and destroying our resources...
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
My background was primarily writing, performing, and fronting 'rock' projects. However, I truly connect more with melodically led music over instrumentation lead music. Being a great singer is something I love. Pop and edgier solo artists are able to provide that foundation that I love, so I leaned into that.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Fire the Humans is a solo project, but I always surround myself with very talented people to play particular parts or production.
4. Each band member's favourite band?
I connect with artists who are free. Prince to Rival Sons.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Authenticity is something that cuts through the noise for me. I prefer a true artist rather than a project that writes and cranks out the same old garbage over and over.
6. Where was your last gig?
St. Louis, at a venue called Blueberry Hill. Small and intimate venue in our hometown, and it was amazing.
7. Where would you like to perform?
I'm excited to watch Fire the Humans grow and branch out into other countries. Sweden, the UK, Japan, and more. Looking forward to playing there.
8. Whom would you like to perform with?
I am always inspired by genuine people, so that is pretty open. Anyone from The Weekend to Harry Styles to Rival Sons and Chris Stapleton.
9. Whom not?
Not a massive country fan as it seems like a uniform nowadays. Most of that genre has lost its rebellious roots and become a schtick to me. Aside from Chris Stapleton, it all seems phony and comical.
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
YES! Nerves prior to going on stage are a good thing. You SHOULD feel nervous... I think it helps you perform better.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Prince. He taught me at a young age not to care what people think. Be yourself, and the right people will find you.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
My pants after a show.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Write authentic music, and the right people will find you & connect. The fans that connect with Fire the Humans are the most absolutely beautiful and real people on this planet. No words could describe my appreciation and love for them.
14. What do you think of our site?
Incredible... truly appreciate platforms like this to help share our artwork.
15. Something to add?
Fire the Humans next single 'Burned Alive' drops on 2/13/26.... please subscribe to the YouTube channel and follow on Spotify. It helps more than you think.
