Band Biographies: Soulharbour
The band’s concept was born around 2017 when Endre Kulutacz and Gyorgy Mede started writing songs together following Endre's departure from Silent Homes. At the time, it was just an occasional collaboration, producing two tracks over a year, before being put on hold until 2021 due to other commitments.
The initial duo eventually expanded into a full band with the addition of Peter Szekely, IstvĂ¡n Polyakovics, and Gergo Gocze—all former members of Silent Homes and Midnight in November. With a solid lineup in place, they made their official debut in May 2023 with the music video for "Split."
Following three more singles, their debut album, Odyssey, was released on November 29, 2023. The record is an intense, multi-layered journey through different states of mind, driven by a single goal: to finally reach a safe harbor and find a way home. The songs are rooted in personal experiences and defining events that have shaped—and continue to shape—the band members' lives. Odyssey aims to capture the mix of emotional depth and musical complexity that defined the creative process, reflecting the raw reality of life's complications.
In 2024, the band took the material to the stage for the first time.
2025 brought a change in the lineup: Gergo Gocze left for personal reasons, and his place was taken by Richard Bertok. With his arrival, the band has started a new chapter and is currently working on new material with fresh momentum.
The band operates with a strictly DIY mindset. We handle everything ourselves: the music, lyrics, concepts, and all visual elements, including photography, video, and graphic design. We also manage our own studio production. This independent way of working is not a necessity, but a conscious choice that the band takes great pride in.
