Interviews About Albums: Warhog - Starlight (2026)

In this new interview, we sat down with the American Sci-fi Metal band Warhog to ask questions about their album "Starlight"

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

Ethereal Journey maintains our vision to establish ourselves as a band willing to explore and innovate across various metal genres and styles.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

Ethereal Journey itself is symbolic of the journey that we all take spiritually and how ultimately we are all human in the end. In relation to Warhog itself, it's about looking forward and anticipating the next evolution of our band.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

Most of Warhog's albums are collaborative between our 2 primary songwriters, Eric Kendall and Scott Beetley. However, each of them owned a track of their own for the most part. The track Ethereal Journey was a pet project of Eric's, which he's been interested in doing since high school. Starlight was Scott's project, something to get his sons more interested in metal.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

Ethereal Journey, just for the sheer fact that it is a musical journey.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

We don't usually have any hidden messages in our songs. We try to keep things fun and tell stories, sometimes factual, but for the most part, we enjoy the exploration of fantasy. This EP is no different!

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

"Trading our future for adventure out in space" - something our children may get to explore!

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Scott Beetley said that while working on Starlight, he wanted to put together a song that was an instant sing-along, and when his sons (10 and 8 years old) started singing it about the house, he knew it was achieving the level of catchiness that he was hoping for.

8. Something to add?
