Track By Tracks: Abel Autopsy - Uunder (2026)
I’ll try to sum up the mental vibe of each; this might be difficult as it’s a tapestry, a story with
sound. It might also be hard to explain as I found out somewhat recently, I’m likely a synesthete.
Regardless, most have a connection to a real place in my life. I was also very into Greek
Mythology as a youth, and that informed some of the shape and feel of the entire series.
Ghostride – The feeling of travelling alone in the woods at dusk, but you know you are being
watched by a presence. Maybe even surrounded. Will they who watch you do you harm? Are
they indifferent? Trickster?
1. Forestfog:
Literally the sound of the afterlife.
2. Thieves:
An idea started by my friend Ritchard Napierkowski. It was slowed, stretched, and
skrewed. It fit well as a mentally visual ‘connector’ piece.
3. Unfound:
The presences are now breathing at your neck. They are mocking you. You can hear
them in the intro.
4. Gates:
If you took pop and mashed it with slasherwave, this would be the result. Trap beats,
chopped and skrewed voices, and supersaw reese basses galore. It’s Hell, but fashionable.
5. Artifact:
Almost a waltz, the trickster presences are calling. This was inspired by Greek
6. Mythology:
Specifically, the water nymphs and Hylas.
7. Uunder:
The feeling of being pulled below. Submerged. Is this the end, or a new beginning?
Looking back, it ties thematically.
8. Mycenae:
Legend says Mycenae was founded by the hero Perseus, who tasked the Cyclopes
with building its massive "Cyclopean" walls — so large they were believed impossible for
humans to move.
9. Nihill:
Closure into the void. There is no escape.
